New AC

I replaced the salon AC thermostat with the same micro air unit you did. I haven’t tried to configure it yet to access it away from the boat. The instructions sounded a bit complex. Where you able to work your way through it ok?
I never hooked mine up to wifi yet, just wanted the option to. We always just leave the air on 80 when we leave for the week

So, I've been switching it over to dehumidify when I leave. Any thoughts on which approach is best?

Do you have 2 ACs? I leave the cabin one set to a warmer temp I don’t want the boat to get warmer than…maybe 78*, then I set the v berth unit to de humidify every 6-8 hours.

My Marinaire AC has both auto temp and humidity setting. At first I thought that it might be good to set the humidity level. So I tried it at 70%. The problem with that is when we had hot and humid days with afternoon rain, the AC ran so much that it had the cabin down less than 60 degrees. Way too cold and I think probably creates places for humidity to condense on surfaces. So I switched to just setting the temp to 78 degrees when I am away from the boat. Seems to work well and keeps the humidity down without over chilling the boat. I am talking about southern Ontario where the daytime temps are in the mid 80s for most of the summer with a few hotter and a few colder days.
