New to Us Anxieties

Agreed, crank it up, have fun, that's why you had the work done, right? Unless the mechanic specifically told you how to break it in.
Its in the paperwork and mechanic agreed. Seems if you follow SEI instructions you good long time, dont and you’ll be making warranty claim, had do same with my Suzuki. Not pushing it. Not with my luck.

The main reason I don’t go bigger is I don’t want to start over again. I have this current boat perfect….. everything is new….. it’s been a lot of work and I just don’t want to do it over again
This is why we have kept our boat so long. We have it set up just like we want. We have had almost no issues. We haven't missed a single day of boating because of mechanical issues. I just need to get it reupholstered. I like the 350 SLX and 400 SLX, but can't justify that. The one thing that I really would like would be a "glass helm" with two touch screens. But VesselView Mobile has pretty much taken care of that.

I have her you need to break those drives in and after that they're almost bulletproof but I did hear there was a break in.

torched two of those drives not following the break-in….it’s the right call to do it by the book. They did us well the second go-around!

Funny you posted those last pics. The slip next to mine has been empty since I brought my boat to its current Marina. Over the winter a big Sea Ray sundancer showed up. Not the cleanest boat I've ever seen. When I arrived at my boat last Saturday two very young kids were on the bow cleaning it spraying water all over the place including on my boat. I thought oh great. They were also very loud and yelling and on top of that they had a yappy little dog. This went on for a couple hours. At this point I've still never seen the owner of the boat. I can hear a man's voice yelling at the kids from the cabin.

I later see a woman on the bow talking to the kids. Then I hear the generator startup and you guess it, white smelly diesel smoke blowing all over my boat. Then the engines follow, same thing. We're not talking warm up smoke, we're talking non-stop white smoke. I think to myself oh great again.

Fellow dock mate came over and said the guy was leaving, that he was just here for the winter. I thought to myself, I dodged a bullet.

Funny I don't have anxiety at the helm at all. Any anxiety or stress relates to getting all my spring maintenance done plus all the other projects around the house ie mulch, flower beds, landscaping. I also come out of the fall/winter season where we primarily use the RV while the boat is laid up. So there's always a list of projects that I'm doing to get it ready for our mid summer vacation and fall usage again. Top that off with a slice of work and I'm always feeling overwhelmed like a one man show!

Well I Don't know what I was worried about. Splash day came and went last Friday like any other day. The boat and the generator both fired right up and on top of that it was a beautiful weekend on Lake Erie. Did a shake down cruise to Put in Bay for lunch.

Where did you go for lunch?
