newborn on boat?

That is sad. I was in St. Louis yesterday and saw a woman holding a newborne in her lap. I wanted to slap her. Def. Get the life jacket. I wont even take cadens off when anchored in a cove. He doesnt seem to care though.

We keep the life jackets on until we are completely off the docks and away from the water. The kids have a bad habit of running up and down the docks no matter how many times you tell them to walk. :smt013

I was wondering about the same thing recently...i'm going to be buy a 270 or 290 soon and i have a 18month old daughter and was very worried about life jackets for her...do the kids mind the jacket that much? I've been looking everywhere and for some reason can't find a life jacket with a 1 rating anywhere for a small child...do they make them?

They make from newborn up. Check Overton's. I think 18 months is not too late for them to get used to it.

Both of mine are great with wearing them, but they've been wearing them before they could walk. The best advice I can offer is to play with it at home often before you even get the boat, make it fun and get her used to wearing it before the trip. My little girl did not like wearing it in the pool at all, but on the boat and dry land or in the living room she is A Okay with it.

Good Luck,
Charlie
