Twin 454 Mec inboards.
I just took the Sundancer out for her first run of the year.
I bought it late last year and have never had an inboard before.
So my question is this....in the picture....both bottom corners...see the exhaust from the side ports??
Is this normal?? Almost nothing at idle.
I was running at about 3000 rpm after getting up on a plane. Twin 454's (argh argh argh) make a beautiful wake!
Thanks

Totally normal. A few other posts on this subject before. My 330 with 454s looks the same. More so in cold water early in the season.

Thanks for the replies. I've been a bit nervous because I've found a few "bad winterizing* issues from the previous owner that were not disclosed. I just replaced a heat exchamger and repaired a cracked fresh water tank.
Happy boating!

Yep normal. I will get a thicker steam cloud if the raw water strainer is not closed tight. Which has happened to me twice. So I check that first.

If the strainer is not closed tight, your raw water pump was starved for water (air leak), meaning the little bit of cooling water getting to the block was "steaming" off inside the block. Not good. So a good idea to check that the strainers are installed properly and sealed.
