Yes. Same switch. Press the rocker switch to turn it on, so it lights up blue and then pull the toggle out a little and move it up or down.

Thanks, that takes a HUGE load off my mind. Assuming that works (and the surveyor reported testing it, but I figured there might have been transport damage), I just have to deal with a "dead" down foot-switch (minor to me).
Just got back from the boat a while ago, and the switch works exactly as described, and the windlass works in both directions from the helm. One more item crossed off the worry-list. Thanks for the help!
Do you have the foot buttons to lower/raise the anchor at the bow?
Yes, but only the "up" works. So either I'm doing something wrong there, too, or the down needs some attention. But I'm really OK with that for now, since I would rather lower from the helm and back off, and raise from the bow so I can monitor the progress and dump water on the muddy chain (lesson learned there this weekend).
That's pretty funny, because only my "up" works as well. I'm going to have to look into it. If I find the problem, I'll pass it on.

src,
Did you have to hold the button to the right of the windlass control while you used it from the helm? I can't get mine to pull up, and it's gets frustrating when no one on the boat wants to help set anchor.
Here's how mine works: Press the rocker switch (left) up to get the green light - do not hold it. Flip the toggle switch (right) up to raise the anchor, pull the toggle switch out (away from panel) and flip down to lower the anchor.
I do have to hold the toggle switch while I am raising/lowering the anchor, but the rocker switch can be left alone once it is activated.
I am having the same issue on the port side. I have one on order. I believe that you can replace it without pulling the tank. I will let you know after I change mine. it may be a few weeks before I get to it.I'm having issues with the accuracy from the fuel sending units in my 1998 310. Looks like they are located at the top of the tanks and are not accessible unless I actually pull the tanks, which looks like a significant amount of work. Anyone have experience replacing these and how you did it?
