Do you guys swap your outdrives every year? My port is counter rotating, starboard normal. Was wondering if you guys swapped them to maintain even wear on forward/ reverse gearing.
Doesn't the lower units have physically different gears from one another to give you the counter rotation? I know when I was pricing lower units you had to buy the correct one you wanted to replace.
Jeff I do not have this problem but have read about it. The bellows sticks or has …put whatever noun you want here…in it. Also there is a new motor design that supposedly works better and is easier to install but it’s not free. The bellows motor is the only “current draw” part of the system with the possible exception on the vacuum cut off switch being grounded. My .02Has anybody had a problem with their head system. For some reason the fuse keeps popping now when i turn it on. Any help would be great
Bolts are WAY to long so Lowes tomorrow for much shorter ones and plastic caps so she doesn’t scratch her legs heading to the bow
No, same exact lower unit port just runs in reverse with a different prop than the starboard that runs in forward. You can see how just the shifting linkages are swapped on the throttle bracket.
Ugh, that’s all I’ve got, UghThanks pal, been doing some research too before i head down to the boat. Was on vacation for 2 weeks and little bro decided to hang on the boat while i was gone. He also thought it was a good idea to take 3 shits in 4 days. And fill the holding tank. Going with a clogged toilet, overfilled system of stuck bellow or duckbill. Will keep you informed
Ok, update. Just took a plunger to clear. Apparantly the fuse pops when its full so you dont over fill the system. Thank you boat gods
I believe the Active captain app has what you are looking for but not sure.Hey Group, does anyone have a maintenance app recommendation? I have a paper folder at home that I keep all the receipts in and write on the what was done, engine hours and the like but I use my pad on the boat most days and would like to keep a clean looking running log.

Thanks Mitch, I did a quick search that came up with nothing other than the community page. I’m not on the boat so the app doesn’t have full functionality unless hooked to the Garmin. Going to call Garmin now. Usually a 3 hour wait but they have been very reliable on the call back feature.I believe the Active captain app has what you are looking for but not sure.
There used to be a guy on here that built an app to do just what your are looking for but can't remember his name or the name of the app. I think he had a 280.Thanks Mitch, I did a quick search that came up with nothing other than the community page. Close the loop on this, Active Captain does not have a maintenance log ability per Garmin. I’ll keep looking.

Is there an issue with leaving the camper enclosure on over winter? Boat is in slip all winter and covered but it's in the Midwest (Kansas). Was hoping I could be lazy and set it up and leave it rather than taking the other cover on and off each weekend. Didn't know if cold temps and wind would really mess things up
