Done. Thanks.
So in consideration of this boat, the three “misgivings” I have are: no helm AC, needs extended swim platform to be functional for my family, and what appears to be a lack of comfortable cockpit lounging options.
Money can of course fix most things, but I start to get pushed into another price point when I add $20k to this boat to be usable for me and thus other boats that become competitive.
Can anyone share pictures or experiences making the cockpit/helm area comfortable for relaxing and socializing. Currently one bench seat facing away from the water doesn’t seem be ideal. The boat has so many good qualities that I don’t want to overlook easy solutions to “my” problems!
We keep 2 folding chairs under aft stateroom bunk. For us, this works for the crowd size we normally have on the boat. if you are looking for lots of cockpit seating, Sundancer may be a better choice . My wife and I plan to do the Great Loop and feel like the 390MY will be a very comfortable boat for this.
Good luck
Mike
Air draft is not an issue for 390MY on Great Loop. Boat will fit under low point which is a bridge past Chicago. Other 390MY have done loop already . We are planning to start the loop in spring of 2021.Was wondering about the great loop with ours. Hadn't checked the clearance height wise. If it works agree it would be perfect
The glass is available, however we need the entire window. One of our charter customers tried to open it and it's at the bottom of the Chesapeake. Anyway, I'm having a very hard time finding one.Try Flounder Pounder (fpmarine.com), they may have it, especially if it was used across more than one model. Otherwise there are plexiglass fabricators out there, I would not think making a new one would be a huge challenge.
I have one, parked at Mears Point. It's in the C and C charter fleet, should you desire to try it out, check their WEB site. It handles the Chesapeake just fine.Hello All, We are currently looking at the 390 Motoryachts. We live on the Chesapeake Bay which can be quite a rough ride at times. Can anyone here comment on the handling of the 2004/2005 MY in rough seas. If there is anyone who has this boat and cruise the Bay, we would welcome any comments you have. Thanks!
Question on your 2005 390 MY, I have the same. When you select start on the start switches do you get a low oil pressure alarm. If so, does it come from the system monitor or the smart craft. Mine do not work and I cannot get a straight answer from SeaRay. ThanksWe keep 2 folding chairs under aft stateroom bunk. Since you are in VA, recommend you check with Prince William Marine. I suspect they either know how to get the part or would figure out how to have one made for you.The glass is available, however we need the entire window. On my diesels with Smartcraft, the VesselView comes on when the engines are turned on (first position of the rocker switch). The keys, which are on the master electric panel must be turned to on as well. I would think the gas Smartcraft version would behave the same way. Any alarms (haven't had many) come up after engine start in my experience. I don't have systems monitor but my guess would be that all engine connections and therefore alarms would be via Smartcraft.Question on your 2005 390 MY, I have the same. My answer was not totally correct....we see "check engine light" when toggling engine start switch. Once started, light goes out. See photo.
