Ohhh Baby, Just closed.

TurtleTone,

Thanks for sharing your adventurous story.

Best of luck with her and hopefully it starts to warm-up so that we all can get in some cruising time!

TT, I like your story. A year from now you will be an old pro and look back and snicker about your 1st day. You did much better than i did my first time backing in the 450DA a couple of weeks ago. The Marina staff looked like something out of Pearl Harbor as i tried to back that thing in. People were scurrying everywhere. Jumping, yelling, crying, but finally got that big old girl in without one known casuality. Nerves were frayed but no broken bones or too much fiberglass strewn about. Will get that info to you when i get it. TT Welcome to SeaRay Nation. JC

I will add my congrats.

I got a new-to-me 97 280SS last year.

After an extensive internet search of the entire MidAtlantic.. . .I found my boat four houses down the street. After suitable reflection, I made the broker drive to a boat yard where I was painting the bottom on my Sailboat.

One of my first cruises was a quick pre-dinner cruise. . .that ended up at a waterfront dining establishment. Which turned into my first night cruise in the boat! Boy, I was nervous! The boat was so new I hadn't even had a chance to put a flash light on board! At least I had a decent working knowledge of that area at night. . .but there is a big difference between knowledge from the sailboat and translating that into trying to cruise on plane!
