Oil for Westerbeke?

Hi all,

Ready to do my fall oil change (right before haul out) and wondering if I should use the same Quicksliver 25W-40 oil as the engines require in my 4.5 kW Westerbeke. Also, anyone use anything other than Westerbeke filters on them? I have a brand-new Wix that is the equivalent replacement for the Westerbeke one.

We are in your temperature zone and have a 5kw WB genny. We bought our boat new and the manual says 30 weight oil and we have done that from day one.
