I have a slight leak on the connection between the water line and vacuflush valve. I haven't taken it apart yet, don't want to make things worse without a fix in had. I've done a lot of plumbing over the years, but all copper.

Is this standard pex lines? If the issue is the pex crimp I'm not sure what options I will have to fix as there isn't any slack from what I could find.

Any suggestions?

Those fittings will leak when you look at them for too long.
You can try to trim back the collar to save as much of the hose as you can and then use a fitting like this.

There are a slew of threads about replacing these fittings.

I have some on the boat, can take a picture of what I exactly used this weekend.

Edit: found a picture

I used these and 2 small stainless steel clamps.

Thanks for the reply, I will take on the project this week!

Just a note: The gray supply tubing is CPVC and not PEX. Most of the shark bite push on fittings will work on both. The clamp on versions are specific to the tubing.

That blue water supply hose is a watts/aqualock/seatech hose. Shaps is correct that over time you even look at them crosseyed they drip. There is a cone washer in them you can replace but I usually chop the end off and put a new watts connector on. I had a leak in the transom shower and they all started leaking when you disturb them. I replace them with these and have never had a leak since.

Plus the hose ID is larger than the PEX and Seatech fittings.
Sealing with a hose clamp can be difficult. Heat the hose with a heat gun then clamp it down. You won't have any problems.

Thanks for all the replies/info, I fixed the issue today without any challenges. A quick write up in case someone stumbles across this at some point.

- I had concerns that the blue supply hose length would be an issue but it wasn't, it slid out plenty (have room for another repair if needed).
- I used the apollo pex connectors shown above since Home Depot had them. I did clip off a little of the "wings" on it as there wasn't enough room to tighten them without taking off the house above it.
- I did heat the hose a bit, not sure if it real

ly needed it, and yes, the pex parts are a little loose but the hose clamps seem to be doing the job. I did have a full set of pex tools (friend had them), also, the smallest hose clamps were too small so I had to get larger ones, and HD didn't have that size so went up to even larger ones.

Im sure we're all quite familiar looking at that head from that angle doing a number of repairs over the years!
