2001 310 Sundancer twin mercs and outdrive BravoIII

I'm new to the forum and new to the sea ray family. So please pardon my dumb question. I recently purchased a used 310 Sundancer 2001 and am not sure of the sequence with the power trim switches. There are 3 switches on the helm dash to raise and lower the outdrives. I'm confused why there are three. Only two outdrives. Can someone please explain this to me?? Not talking about the trim tabs.

Thanks,
John

The “power trim switches “ lower and trim the outdrives but the trim up is limited to a few degrees trim up. The 3rd switch is the “trailer switch “ that raised simultaneously raises both outdrives to the full up position.

That's a nice boat good luck with it! That boat with Bravo III's needs little to no trim because she's heavy. The trailer switch is to trim the drives all the way up when trailering but you should never trim them up that high with the engines running! Do this test, with the engines off use the trim button and hold it in the up position until it stops. It should stop with the drives slightly up and this is as far as you should ever trim up with the engine running. Now from that point hold the trailer button and see how much further the drives continue to come up. This should visually help you see the difference.

Thanks for explaining this. Makes perfect sense. So far I'm enjoying the boat. Learning little by little. I'm grateful there is a forum like this to use for an information resource. I use similar forums for a couple car clubs and its also a great resource of info. Someday I will be able to contribute to help others.
