Ray230 vs Ray260 VHF radio

Thinking about replacing the functioning Ray230 VHF with the newer 260 version. Anyone done it? Same cables/wiring? Will the reception and transmission be any better on the newer model?

Thinking about replacing the functioning Ray230 VHF with the newer 260 version. Anyone done it? Same cables/wiring? Will the reception and transmission be any better on the newer model?

I am also needing to do this.My handset cord is wrecked on my 230 and is not serviceable. Raymarine told me the 260 would connect to the same antennae. Everything else should be new.
