So two seasons ago I damaged the hull on my 310 Da from a wave when a boat cut in front of me. Was scared to clip the throttles because i didn't know if anyone was close behind me. A rear view camera would have been helpful in preventing this. Garmin wifi GC100 camera will connect up to my 1042 xsv plotter and will be able to get power to is in the arch from the terminal strip I installed for my radar dome. Has anybody used this camera before. The GC200 is a $150.00 more and needs to be hard wired.

I have had a GC100 in my Engine Room for a couple of years. Works like a champ.

A camera is good but for the situation described I doubt it would be helpful. You would need to have the video scree "on" instead of navigation, even in a window I would expect that generally being aware of your surroundings ans a quick look back would be the most effective way of navigating.

With spreader lights.
