Would like to know if anyone has done this on same or similar boat. I have done all the checks and am positive the problem is the sending unit itself. The distance from underneath the deck to the top of the gas tank is probably around 3-4 inches, maybe a little more. How much headroom do I need to remove the sending unit? Also, the local Sea Ray dealer says the sending unit is NLA. Anyone know where to get a replacement unit for this boat / gas tank size?
I will attach a pic that hopefully gives an idea how tight it is. I may be able to move the large panel for the battery switches further back if I loosen the screws on the angle brackets on each side.
