Hello Again all the info this time.
Trying to remove First genneration outdrive, I beleive it to be a Alhpa I. Have engine removed. Drive is in forward position. Removed trim cylinders. Loosened exhaust boot, Water supply hose clamp and gimbel Boot. Removed all 6 locking nuts. Am I missing something, the drive will not come off.
Thanks in advance for all responses.

OK IT'S OUT!!!!! I guess after 41 yeears it just took a little more elbow grease to get it out. Thanks anyway now it's time to order new gaskets and seals and install the engine and I wonder if I should reseal the transom collar and exhaust boots and clamps.
Sounds like a good plan of attack.
Thanks as always, Michael

More work but as long as most everything is apart I would also do the do the collar and boots.
