While technically yes - the "dry joints" were typically used in reference to the upgrade to some older exhaust configurations with cast iron spacers that had water channels in them that fed the elbows. The dry joint update replaced the spacers with solid ones and the water bypassed the spacer - hence the dry joint.I have a 2006 Sundancer 340.

Thank you Kevin! While technically yes - the "dry joints" were typically used in reference to the upgrade to some older exhaust configurations with cast iron spacers that had water channels in them that fed the elbows. The 8.1s have regular manifolds (most cast iron) and stainless steel elbows. The two tubes on the side of the elbows feed the water jacket from the manifold with no water flowing through the joint connecting them. The 340SDA use the elbow with the 2" rise.
