RL80C freezing up

My RL80C freezes up after showing the black "Pathfinder" screen when I turn it on. The buttons will not function and the only way to turn it off is to cut power to the unit. Anyone ever seen this?

Maybe I should rephrase my question:

I've not had that or any other issues with my Pathfinder software. I did have GPS screen on an Acura TL several years ago that did pretty much the same thing. Honda replaced the unit. Hate to say it, but the unit may be toast. Not sure if there are any Coasties in your neck of the woods, but their com techs are pretty good as figuring out what's going on with electronic grimlins. I lost my GPS screen in a North Lake Michigan port a few years ago and a retired coastie had me running again within 10 minutes (loose wire) and taught me all kinds of commands to get into the software to see what's going on. Find a knowledable tech to look at it and teach you some the features behind the screens. It's acutally a great piece of equipment.
