Your parts book, page 117-118, says it's 2" shaft.

According to the parts manuals his boat has 1.75" shafts and your boat has 2" shafts.

My shaft is bigger than your shaft ….. Woody we are 2”…. I’m surprised a 44 DB would be smaller but don’t know for sure

Correct we have 2" and so does the OPs 2006 44DB. It is the other poster Roger that has 1.75" shafts on his 2002 400 Sedan Bridge.
