Finlly moved boat to her new home at Colonial Beach, VA. We left Kent Island on Friday at 2:30 pm and headed for Solomans Island for the night. Took us 2 hours and 40 min to get there and the Chesepeak Bay was as smooth as glass. The sun was shinning and it was a great ride.
We stayed at Solomans till Sunday and then left at 8:30 am. Visability was about 1 1/2 miles and light rain but the radar and GPS worked flawlessle. The wind was up and the bay had 4 foot whitecaps and chop however the boat rode them like it was nothing and I was so impressed. After turning up the Potomac River it settled down some and the rest of the cruise was a breeze. Made it to Colonial Beach in about 3 1/2 hours.
Everything has worked great on the boat that I have used and we are very pleased with our purchase of the 370 Sundancer. Everyone at the marina is also impressed with it and the room for entertaining is great.
Next is to make some improvements in the area of additional 110v outlets and some 12v outlets and a bottle holder for the alcohol on the dash. Mount a TV/DVD on the cockpit radar arch and replace the old TV's down below. Need some additional lighting in the cockpit also.
Anyway she is moved and the summer has begun!!!!!:smt038
