Simrad radar not working

Simrad radar not working today. Top left hand corner of radar says unknown radar scanner. On the side bar sources is says (invalid). It is a halo 24 dome and an GO XSE display. Dealer is coming to check out but any help in the mean time appreciated.

Cut the power to the radome. I had a similar problem. Unplugged and plugged in the mfd to no avail. The radome is separately powered. Once I cycled the power to the radome, it rebooted and was good to go.

Have tried that multiple times and no change. Network doesn’t seem to be seeing dome.

Make sure you're cutting power to the radome. You've got a power cable that comes into the mfd. Then you've got the network cable that plugs into the mfd from the radome. You then have a separate set of wires that come off the network cable and are connected to dc power.

I had the same problem. Mfd would not recognize the halo 24. Disconnected the mfd from power and the radome multiple times. Forgot that the radome had a separate power source and it was not intuitive. Just separate wires branching of the radar cable into the fuse box under the dash. Once I disconnected those wires from power and reconnected, the radome rebooted and the mfd immediately recognized it.

If you're sure you've done the above and rebooted the radome itself and it still doesn't work, it's time for the tech.

I have the same set up. Halo 24 and Go9xse. I've got a much old boat though, so I have no idea how they wired your set up, other than to tell you that the radome itself has a separate power source from the mfd.

Unfortunately my buddies Simrad 3' array went through exactly that. We went through all t-shooting and even replaced the RI-12 interface unit and he ended up sending it back to Simrad. They checked it out and the scanner died. They gave him a new unit for ~half price. FWIW.
