So, lets talk weather....

Cyclone just tore through here in the middle of summer! My folks took a 5 meter high river of water through their orchard and house. Not much left now!

Magic, no pun intended but we have a saying in the states - that blows.
I hope your folks are ok and will definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Mid 80s in Richmond, VA today. I refuse to turn the AC on, all windows are open, and I just sweated off 1 ball...
if the temperature in my house goes up past 72, I turn the AC on immediately. I have a job, I am going to be comfortable. Plus with my allergies if I sleep with the windows open I will wake up with a sinus infection.

Yep, I work hard and I am going to be comfortable. Automatically, heat or cool.

A bit windy in Indy…. Blowing my shingles around…. Other wise a warm day…… I know the grass is a bit brown :)

I tell the wife once the AC comes on in the spring, No more heater. And reverse in the fall, once she needs the heater, no more AC.
Doesn't work here. It is nothing to use both in the same day in the fall. In late September and into October it could be 50 one day and 88 the next.

You need at least 2 more grills. You gonna get on that roof and snap tie those shingles down?;)
The big one is natural gas….no line run yet….. the second Weber is the boat bbq…..it’s missing it’s drip tray for some reason…….the third is my backup…..it works….2 out of 3 isn’t bad

Huh. Is it wrong that I set the thermostat to 70 when we rent places in Florida during the summer?
Nah, but you'd obviously be tagged as a tourist and not a local. ;) You're the ones that walk out of the house and glasses fog up and run to the car that has been running for a while with the a/c on full blast.

I resemble that remark…… if you don’t have remote start in Florida you will bake….

Guilty as charged. I will say that Southwest Missouri gives FLA a run for it's money when it comes to heat and humidity in the summer. It is is nothing to have stretches where the temperatures run in the high 90s, low 100s with +80% humidity. When it's like that, the water doesn't evaporate off your body when you get out of the lake. And we don't have that pleasant ocean breeze.

My Dad always kept a "spare" Weber kettle in the garage. I thought it was odd because it's not like they go bad all of the sudden...but he was an engineer and those guys think different.
