So, lets talk weather....

Hard to adjust this time of year. Furnace ran this am for the first time this season.

aren’t those the most dangerous animals in the woods up there besides the wendigo?
More of a problem up in Alaska, only because there's a lot more of them than down here. Most of the injuries are by them coming through car windshields, but they are also pretty dang aggressive. Do not get between a cow and her calf!

The weather forecast for today is leaves, with a slight chance of more leaves. View attachment 153486
It get so tiresome around here with the mix of trees. All of our ash and maple trees are done, but the oaks are still green. They usually wait for us to get a good snow base on the ground before finally dumping their leaves everywhere.

Heat on last week, in the 80’s AC on this weekend. Like summer on the lake but no boats! I don’t put the boat away until thanksgiving because of days just like today!

I don't want to make you feel bad, well, maybe just a little, but we're down in AZ for a few weeks. We took a trip to Sedona and I thought you might like to see what this beautiful country looks like. Temps were in the low 80's, a few high, thin clouds and almost no wind.

Damn near perfect.

Yeah, you did that to us last year, IIRC. Beautiful country.

and the best/cheapest boating on the planet. Almost 40 years and never regretted it for a minute.
I'll see your "best/cheapest" boating and offer the boating around here. Columbia River, Snake River, 8 of the tallest locks in the world, Pacific Ocean and the Columbia River Bar for our boating pleasure.

Oh, and we had some sniow a few years back but it only lasted a few days or so. And we boat all year. Here's a shot from the Christmas Lighted Boat Parade a few years back.

Slip fee $1800 a year.
Ches Bay 180 miles of protected water, dozens of towns, thousands of anchorages, and at least 100 tiki bars.
Beat that.
The Great Lakes are some nice country to boat in. Shorter season, but hey, the boats last a bit longer due to the short season. Our boat just hit 21 years old this year, and to us, it still looks pretty good. To each their own.

Sun came out here, melted the snow away. Now my wife says I need to clean up the leaves tomorrow. I thought I got out of that chore until spring when we got the early snow last week.
