Is this the pilot tube assembly? I would like to get the speedometer working.

Yes, that’s the pickup, the tube runs to the speedometer - it called a pitot tube.

Thank you! Just ran a piece of 023 welding wire through it and removed a clog. One more off the list!!

They usually have 2 positions for protection. Looks like it is kicked up a notch. See if it will click down 1 notch, then hit it with a hose and check the speedo action.

I have another issue. I replaced the lower shift cable, have 6 inches from center of barrel to center of arm hole. I can get positive forward engagement but only a partial reverse. if I remove cable from shift plate and pull it i can get positive reverse. I cannot get positive reverse from the remote control. shifted perfectly before cable replacement.

It did, I believe I have to adjust the adjustable pin and I should be good to go. Going to have some grub and cool off and I will try that adjustment and post up results.
