I am thinking this has been such a brutal winter and a late start to spring. We need to celebrate our first launch day of 2018. Post a picture of your first splash so the rest of us still waiting can at least celebrate your success.

lol wtf?
Strecker25....we stay in the water year round so I have no "splash" to look forward to. During what I think was the 2nd Nor'Easter this year, we experienced what the locals call a Blowout Tide. WNW winds for several days. Even out on the main channel of the Potomac River, the water line was WAY out from shore.
I hope you got a kick out of this. Oh, at my Spring Start-up two weeks ago, I made sure to flush my seacocks very well prior to lining them up to the engines, generator and HVAC. You should have seen the muddy water. Then I had to clean the bilge!
Headed to the boat this morning. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Helping a buddy splash his boat tomorrow morning. Tomorrow afternoon, he and I will spend a few hours practicing our close quarters maneuvering around the marina. First day trip is planned for Saturday.
Have a great weekend everyone!

First sacrifice to the sea gods made this weekend.....utility knife, RIP.haha thats crazy. I guess it pays to make sure you've got plenty of mud under the keel for when she comes to rest. If that happened to us I'd maybe be able to get all the tools I've lost
S I guess this happens more often than you'd think. It looked like some of the trucks were in park or had parking brakes on. Did they just slide down the ramp? I'm sure pilot error was a major factor in most cases....Just don't make this kind of SPLASH.
Mine was. Parents came down to visit this past weekend. Took Zattera from Port Canaveral to Cocoa Village for dinner and drinks. Then out for a shuttle launch SaturdayNobody got their bottom wet this week?
They're launching Shuttles again? I thought they were all retired?Mine was. Parents came down to visit this past weekend. Took Zattera from Port Canaveral to Cocoa Village for dinner and drinks. Then out for a shuttle launch Saturday
Should be more specific. I think it was a Space X launch. Still cool to see from the waterThey're launching Shuttles again? I thought they were all retired?
Always better to be in the water I think. Jobs tend to take longer to do, but much more enjoyable that wayWent in 4/13 on a beautiful 80 degree day. It's been absolutely miserable around here since with this weekend barely making 60 degrees. Part of me thinks I should have waited and done the work while on land. At least its floating and now i look at the forecast several times a day planning the first actual trip out.
