Its about time to redo the teak and I was wondering if anyone has any product recommendations. I have all teak decking and teak on the swim platform. The swim platform takes a beating from the water and sun. Previously/currently I have used Semco but I have also read some about Teak Wonder. Anyone have any products they like?

@mdolesh +1 for Semco
Both their cleaner and their sealer.

Last year i went with the darker brown sealer which was beautiful, but it got hot.
Re-did it this year with the more honey color and could not be happier.

Which color? Any pics?

These were both taken after 2nd coat, before they had a chance to absorb.
This first is classic brown
In both cases they are NOT as dark as they appear

Thanks! I have the dark one currently. I love how it looks when its dark but I think the lighter one will show less wear/aging and, like you mentioned, be cooler to the touch. Its a labor of love and when its fresh its so nice! I actually enjoy having teak decking. Why do you tape everything? In my experience, it wipes right off of the fiberglass if/when you get some on it.

Why? it's called OCD!

I did it mainly to prevent the cleaner and the runoff from rinsing the cleaner going down into the bilge, then it took on a life of its own. :)

Haha! Totally understand and wont judge you for it. Nice work, looks great!

And I agree, love the teak decking. And it is a labor of love.
Post up some pics when you're done!

Looks great! Did you do the 2 part cleaner again before switching over to the lighter tone semco?

Thank you. Yes I had to strip it again to go lighter.

I used the SEMCO cleaner and natural sealer and am happy with it after a few months. Are you guys getting a full season out of it?

I feel like I should do an additional coat on the lower cockpit. The upper I think is fine. Big difference in daily sun load
