I just realized that you moved from a 29 to a 33. What is your average cruise speed on that boat and what is the top speed?
For comparision, at 4000 rpms, I am running around 25 knots with a light load and little wind. I am guessing that your boat withl I/O's would probably be running at 38 to 40 knots at that RPM.
A HP to weight ratio is meaningless with the different variates of boats here....
That beats my pair @.03473. 660x2/38000lbs. I think the 510 was available with bigger engines than the 3196, but i don't know what the HP ratings were. Maybe Frank will way in.I'm just curious to know which stock boat by category in Sea Ray history has the best horsepower to weight ratio? Let's use the dry weight and horsepower reported by Sea Ray.
Let's start with twin engine cruisers:
I've got 750 HP in 15,400 pounds. That is a ratio of 0.04870
Anything out there better than that?
I vote we change the measure to Maximum Torque to weight.
I'm not sure you can convert KW to lb/ft? Lets see where did put that engineering pocket book? I'll get back to you on that one.
