That Reagan-era 260 is gorgeous! WOW! Are you the orig owner or was this a labor of love? What's the dash made of (mahogany)? Was the boat awlgripped? She must FLY with that powerplant. Beautiful!
Apologies to the Dubya 310 but that boat's too new and has no place on this thread!
One other quick Q - how did you re-vamp the red sections of the dash around the throttle, under the wheel and by the grab-rail???
Markblue coral one by teleflex
Have you seen this gauge? I like the blue coral one by teleflex as well, Like Ron has in his pic(which made me think of this) Buts anyone seen this one? I'm wondering who the original supplier was?
Were did you get the paint? Did you have to get it matched or did you just pick A color that was close? Do you know A good source to get new switchs?Actually, I did not pull the windshield. It took painstaking masking and care when painting. I did it when I did the rest of the helm (teak panels, new gauges, new fuse holders, new switches, and new panels for the fuse holders and switches). The masking was probably the hardest part. The project had a big impact on the overall look of the cockpit though.

The ones I put in were Blue Vector from teleflex. Our original gauges are "no longer available" so even if you wanted to overspend and get the OEM (which are made by teleflex and have the same guts but different graphics) you couldnt. SR themselves told the guy at MarineMax I'd have to go aftermarket. I replaced both tachs and both engine temps. Only a SR enthusiast would ever notice the difference.
When I was in the market, Overtons (believe it or not) had the best price. I took the ad to West Marine and they matched it. I'm thinking they are phasing these gauges out so if you want the vector you'd better hurry. Seems like West marine doesnt even have them anymore (as per the website)

If you are looking for more modern, Teleflex has other lines like the Lido. They didnt look appropriate for my boat and I was not looking to replace everything - just the ones that crapped out.
there's no way I'm paying that much just for a little SR at the bottom!
