For those on my Ignore list, this is not being posted for you.

Having used this feature for a week or so now, I love it. It's made this site enjoyable for me again. For those thinking about doing it, do it. It's strange at first, you will get used to it though.

I had to eat Irish Spring when I said one of the "banned" words.

I ate many a bar of soap as a kid from my mom, for the same. I thought it was just her/me.

In spite of our differences of opinion otherwise, you need not feel like The Lone Ranger in that regard.

I may have been a quicker study than you were, but rest assured that was a common parenting tactic back in the day when parents raised their own children and took responsibility for their actions.

Very much unlike the current crop that expects the State to feed, cloth and teach them.
The flaw in that plan becomes increasingly obvious with each passing day news cycle.

Your ma put palmolive in your mouth? Wow!

Nope, was Ivory in my case. Had to take a bite outta the bar, took an hour to get it all out from between my teeth.

Only took one lesson to not swear in FRONT of my mother(NOT that it stopped me from swearing in general).

It's funny hearing all these bar of soap stories, I really thought it was just me. I remember when she would ask me how I learned to cuss like that, I didn't want to throw my dad under the bus.
