Thruster Batteries & Charger Setup

The ProNautic manual has some recommendations on which size for the amp hours you have. It's available online.

All chargers work differently but the ProNautic will output the rated amps for your single bank if the battery will accept it.

looked at the installed charger late last night

it's currently a 20 amp

no need to overkill here - will stay with a 20

also going with the Odyssey battery as it has the best specs for CCA

Mine is set-up in the fwd floor hatch in the fwd berth.

Charger/thruster/batteries - all in one place

Bot our boats have the same galley to port layout

my thruster is in the forward one. the batteries and charger are in the hatch behind it

This project now finished

Based on the superior CCA amps and user endorsements, I went with the ODYSSEA Agm batteries and the PRO NAUTIC charger.

Since its difficult to see, I added the remote;
