Transom materials

Boat is a 1998 400 sedan bridge with twin 3116 diesels, question is what is the transom constructed of? I thought it was made out of solid fiberglass. Reason for question is was getting a survey done on one and on the short haul it was noticed at the very bottom of the transom it sounded hollow at the very bottom when tapped with a hammer.

I believe there were some Balsa core hulls on those years. You may be able to look it up by the HIN if you call Sea Ray
