These are facts and should be repeated as well as many other witnesses,you should pay attention to as well. Then you you can defend him after the trial if you feel the same.
Fair? Hardly. The NY press and DA behavior will impinge an impartial jury selection. It needs to be hosted in a more neutral venue or the jury of "peers" need to be selected from other locations. I have reservations of any judge within arms reach of the DA's office also. In fairness of any defense (he is of course innocent at this point right?) all of the tools of a fair trial must be available - they are not.

Well, you can't either. I'm saying that there is an aspect of impartiality that can be in NY due to the press and DA's behavior. You can argue differently but my take is just as valid. The defense can demand a new venue in circumstances like this. The county polls the jury pool and prosecution and defense down select the panel. They are all registered voters in NY. The opportunities for impartial selection may be circumvented. A different venue is possible and allowed if the defense or prosecution can show encumbrance for their case.

You are correct and neither can I. They have asked for a new venue and they were denied by the judge. They are free to take anything up on appeal that they like after the trial. He presumed innocent and that is why there will be a trial. I don’t think you are saying the judge is impartial are you? Let the trial play out and make opinions after is what I am saying!
