I have a 1998 450 Sundancer with the raytheon package XX41, Raychart 601xx, Gps 398 and a raydata has anyone done any upgrades? Looking for advice.

Depends on your current helm configuration (flush mount, bracket mount? pictures, please) and the type of boating you do.
For plotter/radar/sounder you're no doubt looking for a multifunction display from Raymarine, Furuno, or Garmin...

I added two furuno navnetvx2 10.4 screens, new radar array, an rdd30 remote data display, a new radio, but kept the autopilot--wish i would have changed. Also added a new burlwood dash panel.

Installation was pretty straight forward, but had to add 3 spacers on the lower unit display to keep it off the bulkhead.

Looks great did you do the install yourself?

Didn't do the install, bunch of guys who work with me did it. Just knew what I wanted and for one of the rare times I was able to communicate the task at hand.

Carv on Lake Erie, but Uncle Buck has been a dock duke all summer.

I know the original owner of that boat. It was slipped 3 boats away from mine, probably 1996-1998 or so.

Why don't you like the Raymarine Autopilot? I had that unit in my previous 46' Maxum, it worked perfect! The newer Simrad unit in my 02' 56' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge SUCKS in comparison....

I has the Raymarine E-120 installed but did hang on to the older GPS and radio for redundancy. I am attaching the photo. It was a very straight forward install.
