Has anyone replaced the hose from the toilet to the tank? Got both ends free, but it won't come out. There is about 12' of it hidden behind the fiberglass box of the bathroom before it comes out into the engine room. I assume it is tied down in there somewhere. Anyone have any experience with this before I cut a hole in my bulkhead to try and get it out?

I had the local Vacuflush dealer recommend a service center for mine. They replaced the toilet, all the hoses and rebuilt the pump too. Some jobs are worth paying someone else to do......

thanks for the advice...I'm unfortunately too far in to pay someone else to do it.

I have worked shower drain hoses, they were tie strapped to the boat. Before you remove it pull two ropes through it and secure both ends. You will need them to pull the new hose in. One to pull the hose and one to pull the hose back a little when it gets stuck.

I took a look at mine and the hose is attached to the hull in several places with zip ties and screws. You may need to pull out some cabinets and stuff to get to those on your boat.

Thanks to all for the advice- the way mine is configured it looks like my only option is to cut a hole in the bulkhead. Zip tool should do the trick and plan to cut a cover board slightly larger than the hole to seal it back up. Always fun when working on parts that were never meant to be replaced.

Could you put a slightly smaller hose in the original one and swedge it up at both ends.
I would expect the hose that is there now is stronger than the tie straps.
Can you fish an electrical snake through the same area beside the existing hose? If you can then you could pull in a new hose and leave the old one.
Cutting hole in a boat is no fun.
