Sorry, this was the first of a few posts I made in the forum that didn't mention diesel.

For the right boat, I'd be willing to have it hauled 1k, or more miles.

The series of boat you describe was only available with diesels.

Is that not true? Maybe I missed something...

The description is 2004' - 2008' 40, 42, or 44SD.

I took SD to be sedan...ah, maybe he meant Sundancer?

If Sedan Bridge then from 2004 forward you would be looking at 420DB and 44DB.
If Sundancer then 420DA (EDIT: and 44DA). And they were available with 8.1 Mercs.

Right?

Thnx Bajturner, but actually, standard power for all of them was gas, with diesel as an option. There wasn't a 40SD in 04 & 05, it was a 390SD, then the 40SD in 06, 07 & 08.

The 420's were made in 02 to 05, with gas or diesel.

The 08 44SD was also gas, and had a diesel option with V & Zeus drives.

I misundertood you to be looking for a 42/44 Sedan Bridge (DB). I have seen SD for "sedan" by mistake before.

The typical abbreviation for Sundancer is DA...for whatever reason!

it was a 390SD, then the 40SD in 06, 07 & 08.

All the years of looking at the different models I never noticed the 39DA became the 40DA. A new Sea Ray to me!!

My mistake, I'm a little rusty, haven't been a Sea Ray owner since I sold my 04' 340 in 2011.
