water in cushions

There may be no secret to this but thought I'd ask anyway... I've got a pretty good bit of water in my cushions from a rain storm. I can tell because they're very heavy, and they are leaking. :smt013 So I've got them propped up to hopefully drain, but it's August in SC, which means drying conditions aren't optimal. Is there anything I can do to keep mildew from growing inside them?

Somethings to consider

The seating on SR's is typically foam that is covered in a tough vinyl inner layer. Then the cushion is covered with naugahyde.

If the cushions are getting water it means the inner platic sheeting is failing.

I'd remove the cushions, strip off the Nauga and dry out the cusion foam in the sun. Then recover the foam with vinyl as new and then re fit and staple the Nauga .... In essence you need to fix the problem not live with it. Mildew will win out of you don't.
