Whats the solution to keep water from pooling on this terrible design of a cockpit cover?

Picture? Where is it pooling? Raise the tent pole a little. Have another tent pole added. Spray some 303 fabric guard where the water tends to pool.

Does you system have the support that hangs from the arch? Please post some pictures and we will try to help.

I had the same problem. I put a Styrofoam cooler on the seat under where the water pools and it stopped the problem. The cooler was 16 inches tall.

If those support poles help then that is great. It looks like the cover needs a little more height at the peak to take out some of the slack but I am not sure if that is possible. It's kind of hard to see the big picture of what is going on from that angle and zoom.

Whatever you wide up doing keep up with the pooling water because over time the weight of the water pooling will stretch the canvas to the point were the canvas will stretch and expand to take the shape of the pool.

I have a sag by transom door, placed one there, another on the walkway between helm seat and cabin door. Unlike the newer styles, my cabin door is on port side not centered. And I have another behind helm seat in the center.
You can see the big sag in front of transom door before I bought the poles.

Looks like it needs the support poles in these areas:

Here is the full picture

If you can not pull out the slack by hanging it higher you have a couple of options that you may need to play with.
1) Install a support pole in the center line to raise the peak and take some of the slack out or 2) move some of the snaps to remove the slack. Before doing anything permanent I would see what adjustments address the issue.

It looks like the cover is a good fit but it is a wide area there to cover and canvas will sag even with support - the goal is to minimize it.

The 2 cover support poles worked great! Thanks for the advice.
