What fuel filter to upgrade to

1987 268 with two 4.3 v6 HO 4bl carb mains and a kholer 3kw generator, I want a single filter\H2O seperator unit that can supply fuel to all 3 at same time ( I don't plan to run generator at speeds above 10mph) readily available filter cartridge prefer spin on, not necessary a drain on filter to check on how much water in fuel. Since clear bottom bowls are only approved for outboards rules that out.

What brand and model ?? I looked at West Marine this past weekend no info no success.

Not going to happen, you need a filter for each one.

+1 on keeping two or more filters if you have more than one tank. That way if one engine goes down from water in the fuel/tank, the other may keep you going. With one filter you have a single point of failure.

Darn good point, ok dual then what brand has been a favorite? I'd liek one where the machine work on the housing is quality.

take your pick , Mallory, Sierra, Mercruiser all offer 10M filters .Locate them before the fuel pump in any convenient location.If you have dual tank pickups, maybe mount them at the tank location
