So this box in my engine compartment on the inside transom started running and making a horrible noise like a motor is about to burn up. The only way to make it stop is to shut off the battery switch.

Anyone know what this is or what is wrong?

any idea why it is running even before I take the boat out or mess with the switches?

and it looks like the fluid level is below the acceptable range.

That looks like the "Bennett" logo on top. It should only run when you use the dash buttons for the trim tabs.

The switch on the dash is bad...jiggle it to shut it off. Then put contact cleaner on it.

He probably has the Auto tabs and they are trying to compensate or adjust but can't since there isn't any fluid in the reservoir. While you are down there, take a look around at the other reservoirs too! :thumbsup:

if tabs are down all the way. Chould be why down on fluid.
