What to watch out for???

In the market for a used 17-19 ft v-6 SeaRay runabout/bowrider. What are some of the things I should be on the lookout for?? ie; wood rot, corrosion, salt water usage,other stuff

Hey Bob, We've got a 1979 SRV195 & some of the things I've always checked out when looking or snooping around old boats is the wiring. It seems like the older they are, the worse the wiring is. Every owner seems to add a different radio or something, or "fix" a wiring problem & instead of doing it correctly & making it look nice, it ends up looking like Jack the Ripper paid a visit to the wiring harness!
