Have to ask, How do you access the wiper motor? My starboard makes one click and thats it.
And ,while I have your attentions. Is there a link for installing a TV on space above mid berth, where everyone puts one.
Also, i've seen a replacement TV setup for the small set up forward on the slide out shelf

I accessed the port wiper moter by taking out the 12/120v ceiling light. You will need skinny arms, there may be swearing involved, but it can be done. I would guess the stbd side could be accessed the same way. My motor had water intrusion and was shot. The part number is attached.

A skinny arm and a six pack. Just regular hand tools.
Thanks, got it out, had to remove two inside ceiling panels of salon. The motor is original and it had some water or moisture incursion. I opened it up and the motor was frozen with rust. Im wondering how it gets in to that area of the motor?

Mine had evidence of moisture as well. My guess is through the shaft as I don't know where else it could come from.

How did you get the ceiling panels out?

I removed the 2"strip along starboard salon ceiling and the the two lights on that side in the drop down portion of ceiling. Inside those light holes is where the attach that section to the main ceiling. Prob, 6" stainless screws , two per light access holes. You have to peel back the vinyl a bit. With that down, there is a access hole to wiper motor. They use a blob of what looks like 4200 at the shaft area where it meets the hull from below. On top is a washer with rubber gasket that you tighten down to seal, Maybe that was loose? but if so that would allow water in to ceiling area and would show itsself. From lloking at the motor apart, its a long way from the arm shaft to the motor windings. It did have a paper gasket between gear housing and elec motor. My friend though maybe 14 years of salt air. I'd like to prevent that in the future for next guy.

The shaft was sealed in a similar way on mine. My boat has spent its life in freshwater and it had the same issue so it's not strictly a salty air issue. I agree it's a long path from the shaft to the motor.
