I'm upgrading my original rocker switch trim tab controls with Bennett OBI9000H because I want the indicator lights. I have to replace a broken actuator and figured it wouldn't be too much more trouble to upgrade.

My question is about the wiring. I'm looking for recommendations for where to hook two particular wires at the helm: there is a purple wire that needs to connect to the ignition, I believe this allows the Tabs to auto retract when the engines are turned off. There is an orange wire that needs to be connected to "helm power" I think this just turns on the LED lights and I can probably just hook it to an empty accessory switch. I also need suggestions about the best or easiest place to tie in the black ground.

Finally, I need to run sensor wires from the transom up to the helm if anybody has any tips on the least difficult way to do that. For instance, if I'm using a fish tape is it easier to start at the bilge and push towards the helm, or vice versa.

Thanks in advance for answers and any additional tips you might have.
