Now that I've had a chance to think about it, yes, it would bother me.

I'd move the white speakers to the bow and the black ones to the back. But then, that's just me.

It would bug me a little. I'm not sure if it would be enough to make me change them. If I did it would be all black.. I'm the guy that would spray bomb the covers.

Lots of good advice and some good humor too! Awesome group we have here. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's odd. (Although my wife never noticed it and she thinks I'm odd) :grin:
I researched this boat online for quite some time. Every one I've seen online with the "Select package" has these color speakers, including Steve195 who was nice enough to send me a picture of his slip mates boat. SeaRay also shows this on their website and brochures, and all of them match. I included a picture of my white ones to show the contrast. I was told that the matching speakers I've seen online were the upgraded speakers. This doesn't makes sense to me. The upgraded stereo package has a subwoofer located in the walk through to the bow (hard to miss that) and Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers. But that's not what I'm looking at. Even the base SPX with white vinyl doesn't have white speakers so I'm just trying to figure out the thought process. Personally, I think my white ones look out of place and even if they went with white they all should have been the same color. I appreciate the mixed opinions here. Thanks again. Brian
BTW, I'm not trying to bash SR in anyway. As you can see from my signature I'm one of their biggest fans.

Bridog - assuming they are the same manufacturer of speakers, you should be able to order just the grills.......or have your dealership do it......

More important is your satisfaction with that beautiful new SPX...your call capt'in...

If I have to bring a box full of speaker covers up to Gulf Shores so we can decide which is best, I'll do it........What I am really trying to do is get a visit to that unreal beach and crystal clear ocean water up there....you guys in the panhandle of this state and AL are on God's shoreline and not many even know you exist. There is not much prettier a beach than the Shores, that's for sure. And about the last place headed west that you can still get real shrimp & grits. I'll bring covers, you bring our favorite beverage and before daylight by gosh, we'll have it all worked out and be rock'in !

I checked with my SPX buddy and confirmed that his boat only has the select package and no other options such as stereo upgrade. He did have the OEM radio upgraded at the dealer to gain Sirius, but the speakers were not changed. His four matching grey speakers were how the boat came from the factory.

Thanks Steve. That's what I thought and consistent to what I've seen on other 19 SPX's with the Select package. Maybe they changed suppliers and are using different speakers but all 4 should all be the same color. BTW, the speakers I have are all one unit. No changing out the grill without changing out the speakers. I was going to order them on my own till I found that out.

No sir, no speaker covers since they are all one unit. But....your company said you would install them if they ship me new ones. I couldn't resist the opportunity to meet SeaRay's ambassador so I said...hell yeah! Joking aside, SR did right by me before I even posted this but I wanted to see how others here felt. That was the reason for the thread. The opinions of CSR members are very important to me and probably could be useful to SR as well. Majority here think they should be the same color. Most said black/grey, some white and a couple tan but almost everyone said they should be the same color. Please forward SR this little design focus group thread. Stick with one color. Consistency and Symmetry are still important to some of us. Let me know when your visiting Captain. Shrimp and Grits...got it! Oh and thanks to everyone for their thoughts. Brian

BTW this is how the new boats are shipping, so I'm told. If you don't like it, let dealer know ahead of time and maybe they can change it for you at the time the new order is placed.
