Trump Flag conundrum

It would be a pretty dumb person that would confuse Trumps question 'is there a way?' to mean he suggests they should inject themselves with Lysol and bleach.:p They're out there I guess....:eek:

After the injections, they can chug a fish tank cocktail, and they finish off the last of the pesky virus with a hot oral swab.

IMHO: Anyone who listened to that press conference in it’s entirety and took away that he was advocating people drink disinfectant needs to take a deep breathe, put aside their bias and listen with an open mind.

They're just protecting themselves from the dummies that can't understand what they hear, like the couple on this thread.:p
 
I like to think about topics out of context and outside of biases. Pretend there are no politics, no names, no faces, just audio. It was a stupid thing to say.. With that said we all say stupid things.. I'm a conservative guy but it drives me nuts how many stupid comments this potus makes...

I disagree to a point. You’re right he could be more reserved but that’s not him. From what I understand is he just saw the info on UV light and disinfectant at that press briefing for the first time.... he knew about heat, humidity and the sun before hand.
That’s why he started commenting directly to his team..and in a way brainstorming...which if you watched the guy over the last few years he does it a lot... there is a company already prototyping a ventilator with UV lighting on the end of the ventilator tube that’s down your throat and lighting up your lungs. His disinfectant idea was obviously something safe we could inhale. If you watch him closely you can see he is already thinking ahead of his mouth....so it comes out a bit unpolished.
So I wouldn’t say his comments are stupid.... when brainstorming the first rule is no idea is a stupid idea.

In the end I would prefer a President that is open ..speaks his mind and not telling you what you want to hear or act like you would expect them to act.... we have seen that before...it doesn’t end well

I’ll tell you a silly story about Trump. My dad worked for Procter and Gamble for many years as a salesman back when they had salesman like 35 years ago. My dad is Canadian and there was a sales meeting in NY city.... this was a big deal for my dad to go on a trip like this.

One night he is in a Trump Restaurant with a co worker just the two of them at a table. Up walks Trump and introduces himself to my dad and his buddy and they get talking. Trump asked about both their families, what they did for a living and why they were in NY... just a few minutes but a sincere few minutes, they had a good conversation ... they finished their meal and the waitress came up and said Mr Trump picked up your tab.

My dad came back pretty impressed and obviously told me that story... back in the day I had no idea who Trump was or could care less but it always stuck with me that someone would do that for my dad.... I really think the guy is genuine...not from my dads story alone there are many more..

It wasn't a stupid thing to say. It was just said very clumsy. He's not the best speaker. But those that want to can understand the big points he's trying to make. Those that don't can "nail" him for saying dumb things.
