It's worth a try and the price is right.....

I keep a few of those little fuel filters that are in the pill bottle looking filter housing on board. That little filter clogs up very easily if you're trying to get your fuel tanks clean. I finally have my tanks where the filters are red when I check the racors thanks to Franks fuel treatment regiment. I run my gen a lot, I can tell when that filter starts to get a little clogged up as I will get some soot around the gen exhaust that makes a mess of my waterline.
Not sure if your gen is the same as mine, but I suspect it is. When changing that impeller, I found it easier to just remove the entire housing vs trying to work in that small area. I also keep some extra screws for the impeller cover and a gasket that goes between the pump and the housing on the gen side.
Took this today, been dying to follow this boat with the drone. The iPhone app downscans to 720p so I’ll make a higher res one later but still cool…
From your wake, it looks like your left prop is only spinning 2840!
Great video and beautiful boat if I must say so myself!! Water looks great too.
The depression is about to start setting in. I just ordered all of my oil change supplies for Fall 2021....ughhh...
Look at post 3794. I’m not sure if this is similar to what you are talking about. Hope it helpsJust discovered tonight that the headliner on the starboard side is sagging just a touch. Only found it because the little porthole in the ceiling that slides open (wood sliding pocket door in ceiling) has about 1/4” exposed of the deck material
if I push up I can feel what seems like one of those Christmas tree fasteners trying to grab, my guess is it just pulled out.
anyone taken the 410 headliner down? It has 3 pieces, I’m guessing a plastic putty knife will help separate the center section and I can get in there. I’ll add it to my winter list…
I’ll grab a pic tomorrow to better show it
Check and clean trans cooler before you do anything else. This last weekend I ran the boat from Holland down to Saugatuck in some fairly rough weather and noticed something new.
On the way there and back the boat felt like it had a little more high frequency vibration than usual, I chalked it up to the conditions. However, I noticed that my port transmission had a little bit of fluid spray around it and on the diamond plate between the engines. It seemed that it was either coming from the seal on the back of the trans or the breather on the top.
This has only happened one time before on an 8+ hour run. I am curious if it came from the breather that maybe that trans was getting hot?
The other part of the equation is that my generator impeller seems like its lost a few blades since the gen was louder than normal. I plan on replacing that this weekend.
Could my transmission cooler be clogged? Is it possible something is clogged on that dripless shaft hose? Thats really the only part of the cooling system on my boat that I haven't touched since I bought it.
Work performed within the last few months:
-Cutlass bearings - new
-Shafts removed and checked for trueness
-Couplers re-faced
-New dripless shaft seals and spares
-Props tuned
To the average joe, there was nothing wrong to commence all of this work but I always felt the port side prop had a little wiggle to it.
I haven't run the boat in flat calm water yet but I am hoping this weekend will allow that as well.

were you able to tell if it was definitely transmission fluid spray? Check the fittings on the trans cooler to make sure they're tight, maybe the vibration or rough conditions has loosened them up
I'm clueless on diesel but my trans fill plugs "tighten up" after you push the plug into the fill opening by spinning the locking mechanism. Are your caps tight? Is it possible you were getting some leakage from a loose cap?
I tried backing the sensor off 1/8" and it did not fix the issue... Still looking for the root cause of the loss of vacuum. It's worth a try and the price is right.....
