460 DA Owners Thread

Hey guys! When I was looking for a 460 last year there was one named Sky Fall listed around the same time. The PO had removed the couch in the guest room and installed a platform bed that doubles as a large storage area. I liked the idea and still do. After getting my small projects behind me I ready to tackle that one. Starting removing the couch yesterday. The mechanical part was easy. But seems the piece in the corner is going to be trouble. I’ll try to post some before and after pics here.
In the meantime, would love to hear any advice or suggestions on the project. Anyone else here done it?
Where’s the best place to get a custom mattress made?

Well, I didn't tackle that project but I did try and remove that corner piece so I could replace the sanitation lines from the mid-berth head a few years back. After being stumped by it's installation for a couple days I decided to contact Sea Ray. I had to get an "old timer" on the line that new something about 460's. His answer was "you won't get that out without destroying part of it. It was a poor design and the installation wasn't as simple as dropping it in and screwing it down."

I cut a larger access hole on the lower right side so I could get my head in there to see what was going on and sure enough, there were no mounting brackets of any kind. I thought I might see something for the seat cushion, but there was NADA! I pressed forward with the hose replacement, but it really sucked on that starboard wall to feed it through.

If someone does know how to do this, I would love to know. The guy with Sky Fall can be found on the 460 Facebook page still I do believe.

Hello Everyone, Does anyone have the dims or a vendor that supplies the fixed windows that are in the main bedroom? I need to order two. These are the ones that do not open. TIA

Let me know how it goes.
We have thought about doing this as for our boating use a full time bed makes for a better use of the aft.
I also like the idea of all the storage under the bed.

This place can make the mattress made for you.

I have had some of the laminate come unglued in the aft.

For those of you that have had this happen what type of glue have you used to reglue it?

Hi everyone -
Not getting any power to the plug outlets in the galley over stove. Where is the GFI reset for this located?

AWESOME!! Those are the pics I remember! Thank you

Before I start pulling up carpet to find out… does anyone know what floor hatches are in the aft cabin? I can tell there’s at least one under the couch. Seems like there’s other in the open floor area. Why We’re these carpeted over?

I didn’t have any on my 99.

None on the 2005 I owned.

I have a 2003 with the factory Bose systems installed in the Salon and V-Berth. The one in he Salon works fine. How to I activate the one on the V-Berth? I think it is on Zone-2 off the Salon unit. But, I cannot figure this out.

It has a separate remote that controls that zone. Find the remote and it should turn on.

Happy Independence Day Weekend everyone! I hope you are all out on the water!

We are looking to mount a flagpole on the back transom to fly Old Glory. Where/how have you mounted one? We have canvas and isinglass up in the chilly months, so mounting it on the Locker/lazarette rail won't work.

Thanks!

Hi everyone happy 4th!

My hot water heater is not working properly on my 2004 460. How can I get to it and does anyone have a recommended replacement model/part #?
Thanks,
Tim

Thanks! Does it swivel? I'm concerned about the isinglass, or it'll be a seasonal only flying the flag..

Yes, it swivels. I wished I could provide a part # or something but it was on the boat when I purchased it. Sorry.

Flag should be 1" in length per foot of boat length.
