460 DA Owners Thread

Hi all,
Hope you had a good holiday weekend.
Question. port fuel gauge stopped working. The gauge is pinned past the full mark.

Where would you start to troubleshoot? At the gauge or sending unit?
 
Should I be able to view boost pressure coming off the J1939 connection? I'm asking because I have an NMEA2000 converter and see other engine parameters but not boost ....

Thoughts?

Un-do your dash panel, switch leads between port and starboard fuel gauges. If the port gauge works now (reading the starboard tank) then it is probably your sending unit on the port tank.

Questions on smaller repairs:
I am currently replacing the Oceanair hatch screen/shade combo. If any of you have done this, let me know if you had issues on finding the correct sizing for replacing. I took it out before, cleaned it, but that didn't help. Just needs to be replaced.

Anyone found an LED replacement to the bulbs in the dash gauges?
 
question for the forum. About a year ago had the boat caulk redone. ( Not sure if that is the cause or not) Shortly after that I have noticed my floor in the cockpit creaks worse and worse. It is in the main path almost at the port step tot he breaker panel. There are no cracks in the fiberglass that I can see but wondering if need to look at caulk or if there is something else to look at. ( I know this is small but always looking for projects :) ) Anyone ran into this or is it just normal?

At last! We replaced the galley faucet with a "touch" faucet. We will be using it this weekend and I'll post back about it.

I just hated the water running back along the counter from wet hands turning the water off and on.

Hey guys! When I was looking for a 460 last year there was one named Sky Fall listed around the same time. The PO had removed the couch in the guest room and installed a platform bed that doubles as a large storage area. I liked the idea and still do. After getting my small projects behind me I ready to tackle that one. Starting removing the couch yesterday. The mechanical part was easy. But seems the piece in the corner is going to be trouble. I’ll try to post some before and after pics here.
In the meantime, would love to hear any advice or suggestions on the project. Anyone else here done it?
Where’s the best place to get a custom mattress made?
