Definitely much faster in the afternoon for what ever reason.

This morning was so painful I gave up and now it is very fast. JFYI.

The site still does not using SSL. Chrome warns that the site is Not Secure.

On my iPhone, the New Posts button seems to have disappeared.

Select the menu icon in the upper right, the New Posts choice is on top of the left side bar that opens up.
 
SSL works if you force it in the url. It's a junk cpanel cert but better than nothing :rolleyes:

What do you mean it is a "junk ssl"? Here is what google says on ssl's. If you know different I will listen:

SSL certificates by validation level

Any certificate will provide the same level of protection, no matter the type of validation. But some authorities might require a specific level of validation to use certain services. For example, a payment system requires much more validation than a plain domain certificate.

No Ads on my PC but can't get rid of them on my Iphone. They cover half of the screen on the phone until they are acknowledged.

I do have Ad Blockers running on the PC however....

Tom with the add blocker running I don't get anything, but without it, it looks like the following. Almost makes the site unusable.

I was a sponsor for years. When they started the ask the captains section for sponsors only, unless you only had silver, that's when I decided that I wouldn't ever pay again.
Plus, it appears it's a problem for sponsors also.
 
Not because of CSR but for other sites I added "Adblock Plus" on my desktop and the "Crystal" app using Adblock on my iPhone and I NEVER see any of those ads.

And the site for the most part is lighting fast right now.

And more and more retailers halt access to their site because of a potential buyer running an Ad Blocker. Their loss not mine. At some point their IT/Marketing will get the message; maybe not though.....

So it begs the question - is it the internet site like CSR or the search engine the user has? Or both??

I think it may be a Google thing like the big banner with the arrow. I don't think it's the site itself, although there are options to turn that off. The site just won't make as much money then.

Google is akin to the American Dog Tick (Dermacentor Variabilis) - They get on you when you wander through the forest, are hard to get rid of, suck the blood from you, and spread disease.
