My opinion is that’s wrong. You get what you pay for. If you are taking away things from this site to help you….. it’s no different than stealing from a Walmart…. $25/yr… really?….. shit I give that much to a kid every weekend to tie my boatI was a sponsor for years. When they started the ask the captains section for sponsors only, unless you only had silver, that's when I decided that I wouldn't ever pay again.
Plus, it appears it's a problem for sponsors also.
Google is akin to the American Dog Tick (Dermacentor Variabilis) - They get on you when you wander through the forest, are hard to get rid of, suck the blood from you, and spread disease.

It's not the money, it's the point. It's funny you compare it to stealing from Walmart, good one.My opinion is that’s wrong. You get what you pay for. No think about it….. Walmart is providing a service with merchandise, a building and employees. You walk in voluntarily and want something….. then you pay …….. now imagine if Walmart charged $25/yr and you could take all you want….. how is that any different then what Jim is doing. Providing servers, a building, employees (volunteers), IT support and you can walk in and take what ever you want… don’t you think $25/yr is worth it?It's not the money, it's the point. You're very much entitled to your opinion, and I am mine.
Have a great day!
It’s not the site it’s your browser use Adblock plusAd's are worse than ever.
I was a paid sponsor for years, when being a sponsor did not remove the ad's I quit paying.

Adblock plus fixed all my frustrations…on my phone, iPad and laptop… just sayingThere are other forums which I visit several times a day. Do not have the Ad's that CSR has. Why do the other forums not have ads to this extent and CSR does?
One forum has zero ads. The other forum has an occasional ad that is never intrusive.
Same is true for me on different browsers.
I disagree, it is the site, not my browser. I would gladly return to paying for a sponsorship if it meant not dealing with ads.
Just my experience.
Read upStill getting lots of large, intrusive ads. Much worse than before upgrade. Tried logging out and back in; restarted browser, still lots of ads. Very irritating!
You settle down…… do you want the ads to go away or not. Most of us have done it already months ago with no problemsNo, thank you — I‘m not going to install third-party software to fix a problem that shouldn’t be there in the first place!!
So I closed my browser and reopened it to find I was logged out. Fine try and log back in and I got locked out. It ended up being the new password requirement and it wasn't giving the correct errors to correct.
I asked to reset my password anyway and went to that link. While entering the new password it kept stating I needed to accept cookies that were not being displayed. That really was the strength wasn't enough, I created a strong password again and it all worked.
I think this needs some work. Also why are people getting logged out when the the stay logged in is checked? I realize that is a cookie being saved but shouldn't there be a message or something about this.
