My power steering is leaking ( slow) and mechanic wants to replace whole actuator. I think it is leaking at the low pressure hose connector ( see pic, it is bottom connection). I found parts to replace the connector and the o ring. Has anyone done this and does this seems a reasonable issue...

I have a 280da 2004 and am looking for the two rubber bumpers that stop the lid over the ladder from slamming down. Has anyone replaced these?

I take that back, that was one issue. Now I think it is the detent ball/spring. My mechanic suggested I remove cover on outdrive and check it. Has anyone else had this issue?

Mid 30s at night sometimes not too bad.

I noticed when the temp dropped I get some smoke (white I think) and a rich fuel smell when I start the engine in cold weather. Goes away in a few minutes after the engine warms up. The mechanic said this is normal with more fuel being added during low temp. Everyone agree with this...
