Steve, do you have the regular bimini or the "soft top" option. I had a 4' sun shade made that attaches to my soft top frame using quick release pins. Only use it for shade, doesn't have and supports in the back. I can try to post a picture if you have the same type. Makes all the difference...
Thanks for the perspective Gofirstclass! I understand what you're saying and it makes sense with the assumption that I could find a buyer who wanted the gas boat vs paying more for the diesel. Honestly, it was your earlier post that made me conclude that finding that buyer might be a problem...
Thanks to all for your insights and experience! So here's what I'm taking away from your thoughts:
- Meridians are not up to Sea Ray standards but are decent boats with styling and design that some people prefer
- we take 1-2 30 mile trips a year plus 1 longer trip every 2 years or so. If you...
We've had our 320 'Dancer for 6 seasons now and have really enjoyed it. But in the summer I like to use the boat as my "home" office and realized whenever I needed air conditioning or quiet to make a call, I'm down in the cabin with no sunshine and no view. So we're looking at moving to a 37'...
Thought I would share a couple pitcures of the custom awning I had made for my 320. It is easy to put up with thumb screws and quick release pins, and stows nicely across the back of the mid-berth seating area when not in use. It's not meant to be up when running, but gives us tons of shade...
In case anyone is interested, my problem was a 15 amp fuse in a fuse holder with two others on top of the engine. Took 2 days of my dealer's time plus calls to Merc and SeaRay to identify where this was.
Here's a mystery I hope someone can help with. I was all set to enjoy a perfect day on Lake Ontario. 86 degrees, sunshine, no wind. Got the boat ready and went to start the port engine -- got nothing. No tone, no gauges, nothing. Starboard started fine so I tried the crossover (my bats are...
Thanks again to for the input. To be clear, my Sea Ray dealer has been great to work with and has done a lot to make me happy since buying my boat in '07. This is my second new boat and I have learned a lot about the value of good communication and documentation when dealing with service. My...
Thanks for the replies. Just wanted to know what to expect in the future and what is fair. Most of the work I have had done has been under warranty or when the boat is pulled. This is the first time I have seen a travel charge. I guess my only complaint might be that they spent the previous...
Just got a bill from my dealer for diagnosing and replacing a bad thermostat. One of the biggest line items is $85.00 for "Travel to and from boat 21 miles". They also charged me $10.19 for 21 miles x .485 for mileage. Do all dealers do this?
Got a bit of a mystery. My '07 320da has about 105 hours on 350 mags with Bravo 3's. Last weekend while rafting up for an overnight with friends, my buddy noticed a noise when I came alongside that I would describe as "popping". Sounded like an exhaust leak. Checked into it more the next day and...
